multi-servicelogoIn an effort to shine a spotlight on the important community programs offered at Multi-Service, Boyertown Mayor Marianne Deery has agreed to decree May as Boyertown Area Multi-Service Month. The month will begin with an Open House at Multi-Service on Saturday, May 2nd from 10 AM until 2 PM.  Free tastings from local eateries and an opportunity to learn more about services will be offered. A 50/50 raffle will be sponsored throughout the month of May with tickets available at the Open House and at the Multi-Service facility. Community organizations, groups, and individuals are asked to help in the celebration during the month by volunteering, collecting food for the pantry or sponsoring an event with the proceeds designated to benefit Multi-Service. Speakers are available upon request to make presentations to groups.  Anyone interested in helping or looking for additional information, please contact Karen Youse at 610-367-6957 or Lori Bernhard at 610-367-2313.

ymca_logoDear Community Member,

I am excited that the BASD and the YMCA continue to partner with one another to provide many quality programs for our Boyertown Area School District youth. Attached is a flyer with the opportunities available for children this spring.

Sincerely,

Dr. Richard H. Faidley

allergiesWhat Are Seasonal Allergies? Commonly called hay fever or allergic rhinitis, a seasonal allergy is an allergic reaction to a trigger that is typically only present for part of the year. Spring is traditionally the main season when allergies blossom because of new growth on trees and weeds. Seasonal allergies are caused by the body’s hypersensitivity to substances in the environment. Symptoms primarily involve the membrane lining the nose, causing allergic rhinitis, or the membrane lining the eyelids and covering the whites of the eyes, causing allergic conjunctivitis. Are you experiencing allergy symptoms? Give us a try…we can help!thrive_new_logo
