Welcome to Building a Better Boyertown

Building a Better Boyertown (BBB) is a non-profit organization formed in 2002. Boyertown, PA is a Main Street Community, received funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and private donors to focus on downtown revitalization.

BBB staff and volunteers develop and accomplish tasks that maintain Boyertown’s historical heritage, promote downtown Boyertown and attract people to the community. They concentrate on business recruitment and retention and on providing technical assistance and grant opportunities for property and business owners in the Main Street District to make facade improvements enhancing the town's Victorian architecture.

Overall, Boyertown's approach to revitalization is comprehensive in nature. We are always looking for fresh faces and ideas to help us achieve our goals. Come join us, and the fun!

As the seasons change, we cannot help but notice some of the more obvious transformations:  shorter days,  cooler weather, the color of the leaves.    Those who regularly shop at a farmers market may also notice the different varieties of produce for sale.  With winter coming, we take a lesson from nature and go indoors. From November through May, we’ll be at The Other Farm Brewing Company (128 East Philadelphia Ave) Every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon.

We are always looking for locally grown/produced items to feature at the Boyertown Farmers Market. Contact us if you’re interested in becoming a vendor.

Come Celebrate the Grand Opening of the New Academy

September 7 at 12:00 pm

125 E. Philadelphia Ave. (Rt. 73) Boyertown, PA 19512

In February of 2010, the weight of  15 to 24 inches of snow collapsed Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy in the 100 block of East Philadelphia Avenue.

Donnie Ellixson Jr., the owner of the building and the business, said the business had been in his family for more than 16 years.  Over the past few years, Ellixon’s Academy found a temporary home at Oddfellows, located at 35 East Philadelphia Ave., Boyertown.  But, on Saturday, September 7 at lunchtime — Donnie Ellixson and his entire Academy will be formally welcomed home.  Help us celebrate with the students, parents, and teachers of Ellixson’s Tae Kwon Do Academy and join us at the ribbon cutting.

Bob Wood’s Friday Art-ful Conversations a.k.a. ”Cheap Date” Nights are scheduled at Studio B for October and November 2013.

Bob has arranged an impressive series of artists and folks passionate about what they do.  We hope you’ll join him from time to time or every time.  There is no fee to participate, but donations are graciously welcome.  To learn more about this and other events at Studio B, please contact:
