Building a Better Boyertown (BBB) is a non-profit organization formed in 2002. Boyertown, PA is a Main Street Community, received funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and private donors to focus on downtown revitalization.
BBB staff and volunteers develop and accomplish tasks that maintain Boyertown’s historical heritage, promote downtown Boyertown and attract people to the community. They concentrate on business recruitment and retention and on providing technical assistance and grant opportunities for property and business owners in the Main Street District to make facade improvements enhancing the town's Victorian architecture.
Overall, Boyertown's approach to revitalization is comprehensive in nature. We are always looking for fresh faces and ideas to help us achieve our goals. Come join us, and the fun!
Building a Better Boyertown (“BBB”) has begun a planning process to create a downtown master plan, a marketing and promotion plan and a business/ investor recruitment strategy for Boyertown. The focus of this plan will be on the core of the downtown, however we will consider strategies to improve the greater Boyertown area as well. This community visioning and implementation plan will be created to help make Boyertown an even better place to live, work, dine, shop and play.
The BBB board has hired a consulting team led by Mark Evans of Barton Partners Architects & Planners, Graham Copeland of Downtown Dynamics and James Hartling of Urban Partners (market/ economic consultants) to facilitate this planning process. BBB and their consulting team will work with Boyertown stakeholders and the larger community to develop a guiding vision and roadmap for the next five years. This will include the formation of Community Transformation Strategies as recommended by the National Main Street Center, to focus the organizational efforts continue reading…
Notecards come in a pack of 10 with envelopes and are selling for $10 a pack. The note card size is 4×6 inches and are sold at the BBB office. Dave Larson has been a Boyertown “townie” for over 45 years, and was a long time art teacher at the Boyertown Senior High for 30 years. The challenge to portray the past, present, and future of the Boyertown community in a single image as defined through the eyes of a multi-person BBB committee provided a unique opportunity to the artist.

They are unable to assist individuals who sold stocks, bonds, investments and/or property in 2016.
Anyone interested should call the Multi-Service office at 610-367-6957 to find out more about the program and whether they qualify. Those who qualify will be given a specific appointment date and time to meet with one of our tax preparers. Appointments are now being scheduled for February 1 through April 14, 2017.
All appointments take place at Boyertown Area Multi-Service, 200 West Spring Street, Boyertown.
Tips to keep in mind when scheduling an appointment:
- It is important to bring all your 2016 tax information to this appointment.
- If this is your first visit with Multi-Service Tax Prep, individuals should bring last year’s returns as well.
In order to provide the best service Multi-Service can, if an individual needs to cancel their appointment, they ask that people try to cancel at least one day prior. This will allow Multi-Service to offer the appointment to someone else. Multi-Service will reschedule the missed appointment for the next available date and time.
In the past years Building a Better Boyertown (BBB) has hosted a series of community events on the 3rd Saturday of each month. With the permission of the Borough of Boyertown, BBB’s Annual Coming out of Hibernation will take place on April 15, 2017.
BBB’s Coming out of Hibernation will take place on E. Philadelphia Ave between Washington and Chestnut Streets on Saturday, April 15th. The event runs from 11am – 2pm. With the Colebrookdale Railroad Preservation Trust hosting tourist excursions and the Easter Bunny train on their restored passenger cars, along with a family fun event party on East Philadelphia Avenue, there will be lots to do! Sponsorship for the event is being offered to the businesses. We are offering sponsorship opportunities on the reverse side of this letter. The deadline for this opportunity will be March 15, 2017. Businesses sponsoring the event will have their logo placed on all literature going out to the community, including posters and postcards that are distributed through the Boyertown Area School District.
If your business is interested in sponsoring this event, it is the responsibility of the business to provide your own service area, stand/booth, equipment, and personnel as well as set up and tear down for the vending area. We also will offer any sponsoring business an opportunity to include their literature at the BBB information table if you are not able to attend the event.
If your business chooses to sponsor the event but does not wish to have a vending area, your business may donate that location to a civic group of your choice. Download the Sponsorship Form
