Welcome to Building a Better Boyertown

Building a Better Boyertown (BBB) is a non-profit organization formed in 2002. Boyertown, PA is a Main Street Community, received funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and private donors to focus on downtown revitalization.

BBB staff and volunteers develop and accomplish tasks that maintain Boyertown’s historical heritage, promote downtown Boyertown and attract people to the community. They concentrate on business recruitment and retention and on providing technical assistance and grant opportunities for property and business owners in the Main Street District to make facade improvements enhancing the town's Victorian architecture.

Overall, Boyertown's approach to revitalization is comprehensive in nature. We are always looking for fresh faces and ideas to help us achieve our goals. Come join us, and the fun!

charlesadamsEveryone here at the Boyertown Area Historical Society hopes you are enjoying the holiday season and wishes you well in the coming new year.  On January 3rd, the Society’s Haunted Boyertown Committee is going to start on definitive plans for 2015.  We are expanding the number and scope of our fund raising activities and we can use VOLUNTEERS to help us in many areas—e.g., leading ghost walks, collecting ghost stories, record keeping, ticket sales, publicity and many others.  The Society is a private nonprofit organization that is dependent upon the public for money to enable us to preserve and present the history and heritage of the Boyertown area.  By volunteering to help us you can both have fun and contribute to a worthy cause.

To VOLUNTEER, please call 610.367.0630 or email to HauntedBoyertown@gmail.com.  We would also appreciate any ghost stories of the Boyertown area that you can relate to us and would be glad to consider any proposals that you might have for additional Haunted Boyertown fund raising opportunities for the Society.

We also run a series of programs on topics of local historical interest on the fourth Wednesday of most months and would also appreciate any suggestions you might have as topics for those programs.

Among the Haunted Boyertown activities that we are planning for 2015 are:
