Welcome to Building a Better Boyertown

Building a Better Boyertown (BBB) is a non-profit organization formed in 2002. Boyertown, PA is a Main Street Community, received funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and private donors to focus on downtown revitalization.

BBB staff and volunteers develop and accomplish tasks that maintain Boyertown’s historical heritage, promote downtown Boyertown and attract people to the community. They concentrate on business recruitment and retention and on providing technical assistance and grant opportunities for property and business owners in the Main Street District to make facade improvements enhancing the town's Victorian architecture.

Overall, Boyertown's approach to revitalization is comprehensive in nature. We are always looking for fresh faces and ideas to help us achieve our goals. Come join us, and the fun!

hibernation_2015In the past years Building A Better Boyertown (BBB) has hosted a series of community events on the 3rd Saturday of each month. With the permission of the Borough of Boyertown, BBB’s Annual Coming out of Hibernation will take place on April 18, 2015, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

BBB’s Coming out of Hibernation will take place between Washington and Chestnut Streets on Saturday, April 18th. The event runs from 11am – 2pm. New this year will be the Colebrookedale Railroad Preservation Trust hosting tourist excursions on their restored passenger cars! Purchase your train tickets and catch a ride on the Secret Valley Line. Also new this year, don’t miss Twisted Art presented by Philly Pretzel. We will have sports themed games, a sports moon bounce, chili cook off, tree photo contest, a bear debut and much more!

Sponsorship for the event is being offered to the businesses. We are offering sponsorship opportunities below. The deadline for this opportunity will be April 1st, 2015. Businesses sponsoring the event will have their logo placed on all literature going out to the community, including posters and cards that are distributed through the Boyertown Area School District. If your business is interested in sponsoring this event, it is the responsibility of the business to provide your own service area, stand/booth, equipment, and personnel as well as set up and tear down for the vending area. We also will offer any sponsoring business an opportunity to include their literature at the BBB information table if you are not able to attend the event. If your business chooses to sponsor the event but does not wish to have a vending area, your business may donate that location to a civic group of your choice.

If you have any questions or would like to participate in sponsoring this event, please contact Building A Better Boyertown office at 610.369.3054 or manager@boyertownpa.org or get your forms here:

Boyertown, PA – The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is pleased to announce a new event for the month of March—Hoods Up Weekend. Typically, the hoods on the cars and trucks on display in the Boyertown Mmuseum_logouseum gallery are left closed and the engines hidden. For Saturday and Sunday, March 21 & 22, during regular operating hours of 9:30am to 4:00pm, the hoods on over thirty vehicles will be propped open to allow visitors to view the engines underneath—everything from the early, experimental, and rare to the more common sites of the 1950s era Ford engines used in Boyertown Auto Body Works trucks. Docents will be on hand throughout both days to give visitors extra insight into the many engines on display. This event is included as part of regular admission prices. To help celebrate our first-ever Hoods Up Weekend, visitors can also purchase Boyertown Museum hooded sweatshirts available in the gift shop, which will be on special sale that weekend only.
Hoods Up Weekend is March’s Third Saturday Event. In celebration of the Boyertown Museum’s 50th Anniversary in 2015, special events are being held the third Saturday of every month. Hoods Up Weekend is unique in that it will extend all weekend into Sunday. Visit the Boyertown Museum’s brand new website for more information on this and upcoming Third Saturday events.
The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 am -4:00 pm and is closed on Mondays.
